In Perspectives the idea is to adapt the concept of perspective and anamorphosis, which mainly concern the visual arts, to music by means of a common basic material that is not initially revealed but undergoes successive modifications like juxtaposition of different sonar panels that are actually built in a specular manner, refractions of significant fragments, exasperation of major gestures, and so forth. Referring to anamorphosis, the basic material is revealed only at about half of the piece through a virtuoso solo; anamorphic images, in fact, are solely comprehensible if the eye is placed in a particular point, in which the deformation disappears, giving way to a perfectly clear and proportionally exact image, albeit with strong illusionistic overtones.
